  • Frappart is first woman to referee in men’s Champions League
  • Juve beat Dynamo Kyiv 3-0; Leipzig edge Basaksehir thriller

Stéphanie Frappart made Champions League history on Wednesday, becoming the first female to referee a game in the men’s competition as she took charge of Juventus’ 3-0 home win over Dynamo Kyiv.

Federico Chiesa had put the hosts ahead, heading home from Alex Sandro’s cross before Cristiano Ronaldo scored the 750th goal of his career, tapping in Álvaro Morata’s goal-bound shot for Juve’s second of the night. Morata completed the scoring as France’s Frappart enjoyed a quiet debut, save for a first-half Dynamo penalty shout that she waved away.
