Beyond Meat Stock Falls Despite Plant-Based Pepperoni Deal

(BYND) stock is falling early Tuesday, following news that the plant-based protein maker is offering faux pepperoni at select Pizza Hut locations in the U.S. It’s the latest expansion of the company’s partnership with (YUM) and comes after it reported mixed second-quarter results last week. Beyond Meat (ticker: BYND) said that it’s debuting its plant-based Beyond Pepperoni beginning today at nearly 70 of Yum’s (YUM) Pizza Hut locations in Albany, N.Y.; Columbus and Macon, Ga.; Houston; and Jacksonville, Fla. The promotion is for a limited time only. Pepperoni is Pizza Hut’s most popular topping.
