Mitchelton-Scott pull out of Giro d'Italia after four positive Covid tests

Mitchelton-Scott has withdrawn its entire team from the Giro d’Italia after four staff members returned positive Covid-19 results from rest-day tests.
The Australian team’s British rider Simon Yates – a general classification contender – had already tested positive for the coronavirus and pulled out of the race before Saturday’s stage eight. Steven Kruijswijk, leader of Dutch team Jumbo-Visma, also tested positive and was forced out before the start of stage 10 on Tuesday.

With the health of riders & staff our priority, we have withdrawn from the @giroditalia after results of the rest day COVID-19 testing, our 3rd round of testing in 3 days, revealed positive results for some of our staff.
