A valiant second half performance would see Hibs pick up a well-earned point away to Glasgow City.

Anna Oskarsson’s header put the defending league champions in front, with Carlee Giamonna doubling City’s advantage shortly after the restart. Jorian Baucom struck back to claim her 26th goal of the season, before Poppy Lawson’s thunderbolt restored parity shortly before full-time.

Upon our return to Petershill Park for the second time in a week, Grant Scott made two changes to the side that lost to Partick Thistle on Wednesday as Mya Christie and Shannon McGregor returned to the starting XI.

Hibs would start the game with plenty of positive energy down both flanks and would control possession before a lengthy stop in play came about after a clash of heads between Mya Christie and Lauren Doran-Barr. Both players would receive treatment but thankfully were able to continue.

A couple of loose passes from goalkeeper Lee Gibson would ensure Hibs could keep pressure on the hosts. Giving the ball away cheaply to Ellis Notley, the midfielder's drive into the area set up Tegan Bowie. Though her goal-bound effort was deflected away for a corner.

However, our positive start ended after Anna Oskarsson headed home from a corner after 25 minutes.

Katie Fraine ensured the lead would be kept to slender minimum, pulling off a fantastic fingertip stop to deny Emily Whelan from doubling the hosts advantage three minutes later.

The remainder of the half would be plagued by numerous injury stoppages after this point, with an additional 12 minutes of stoppage-time added on by the officials.

Aided by the lengthy amount of additonal time, Baucom would have one final chance before the end of the half. The forward's low strike from the edge of the area fizzed narrowly wide of Gibson’s goal.

Within 20 seconds of the restart, Glasgow City extended their lead as Carlee Giammona raced through and forced Fraine into a stop, before tapping home the rebound from close range.

Hibs grew into the game after going two behind however, with Baucom nearly providing a lifeline. Pouncing on a Gibson error forced by a poor backpass, a rebound landed in out number 5's path, but her effort bounced narrowly wide of the goal.

Making amends for the miss, Baucom would get her goal with 10 minutes remaining; firing high into the top corner and giving Gibson no chance after receiving the ball from Kirsty Morrison.

Hibs kept the pressure on until the end and got their reward in the third minute of stoppage time.

Poppy Lawson’s superb scissor kick from 20 yards out would fly past a wall of City players and nestle in the bottom corner.

The Hibees held on tight for the next two minutes of play, clearing out a couple of the host's attacks and claiming a well-deserved point on the road.
