Irish international Kyra Carusa hopeful for future despite damming report on US abuse scandal

Ireland’s Kyra Carusa did not know the scale of the sexual and emotional abuse which has rocked women’s football in the United States until she sat down to read last week’s damming report into the controversy. The California-born forward, who has won seven Ireland caps since her debut in March 2020, says she is optimistic that the report into systemic abuse in the National Women’s Soccer League will lead to positive changes.
