Billy Sharp’s penalty ensured Sheffield United booked their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals for the second consecutive season, after battling past the Championship side Bristol City.
The cup has revitalised the Blades’ season – albeit likely too late – with this their sixth win in nine games in all competitions, having previously failed to win any of their previous 18.
