We can provide an update on Rachael Boyle’s injury following her early exit from last month’s match against Montrose in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League.
The midfielder was forced off in the first half at Links Park and subsequently underwent a scan to assess the extent of the injury. The results confirmed a quad injury, ruling her out for a number of weeks.
Speaking on the setback, Hibs Women’s Head Coach Grant Scott said: “I’m really gutted for Rachael. She had been making great progress and working her way back into the starting eleven, so picking up an injury at this stage is a tough blow for both her and the team.
“Even though she won’t be on the pitch, Rachael will continue to play a key role, offering her invaluable experience to the squad over the coming months.
“Behind the scenes, she’ll be working closely with our medical and sports science departments, and we look forward to seeing her back in action soon.”
