Heading into Sunday’s Sky Sports Cup Semi-Final against Aberdeen at Meadowbank, Kirsten said the Club's recent league form will boost her side going into Sunday's match.
“We’ve been doing really well in the league of late. It’s exciting going into a cup competition and hopefully, we can win and get into a cup final this season.
“We finished on a high before Christmas by beating Rangers. We’ve come back in and have two wins already. Hopefully we can keep the winning streak going.”
Having already drawn first blood against Aberdeen by winning 7-1 away from home earlier in the campaign, Reilly said heading into their latest encounter, the players would look to find a similar level of performance.
“When we played them away, it’s a hard game with the long travel, but we played well, scored lots of goals and we’ll be looking to do that again on Sunday.
Speaking on her own past successes at the club, which includes winning the 2018 and 2019 Scottish League Cups – Kirsten said the opportunity to win the competition again would be another moment to savour.
“It was amazing. Winning a trophy for the club you support is even better. I loved it in my previous time here.
“You want to win silverware everywhere you go. It would be great if we could get that opportunity again. We’re fortunate to be in the position to win silverware so we are looking forward to it.”
